Supplies
What do you need to get started?
- A how to Kumihimo guide book. Something short and sweet is best, there are lots of 200 page books that are often too much
- Silk thread. We prefer hand-dyed silk as it holds a better color
- End caps and clasps
- Some glue. Simple craft glue that dries fast and clear.
- And of course you need a Kumihimo disk! The original is the best.

Original and best Kumihimo disk, from Hamanaka
As you As you progress and make more complex braids, you may want to use EZ bobs. These are small spools for your silk thread and help to keep your Kumihimo neat and tidy.
